Well Heidi if you knew me real good you would know that I do both!!!

Boudain is a Cajun stuffed sausage sort of thingy

Which I dont make just buy it. ALl cajuns eat it if you are a true

one. Its really dirty rice in a casing.

Gumbo is the staple of a cajun family

It is I guess sort of a stew or soup thing a ma jig made from roux

and chicken and sausage or a seafood one.

They always say my favorite quote is " well I have the rice cooked

now what you want to go with it " .

My family was complaining not steak,rice and gravy again or oh no

not gumbo. So I showed them quit cooking. And just the other night I

heard when are you going to make some rice and gravy again.

I'll show them to complain about my rice.haha

I was raised with rice at every meal. Dirty rice, rice and gravy,but

I had never heard of eating rice as a pudding or with milk over it

till I met someone from up north. I guess rice to us is like potatos

to someone else.

Oh well did you have your cajun history lesson for the day.
