Guest guest
O.k guys. My ongoing saga! ton called me today and said that they got my records under the wrong name. I called my doc in Augusta Ga. and He called ton himself and spoke to Dr. Hawes and told him to get my files please. Dr. Hawes is reviewing the files now. Dr. Spurr ( my doc in Augusta Ga) says that I have a 3 cm. cyst within the head of the pancreas. I am having to take enzymes. My enzymes have not gone up with an attack for over a year. So it was not as big as they thought. After 2 years they have finally found something. The dilemma is they don't know if they can do the endoscopic sonogram or the ERCP because I have had gastric bypass surgery. They aren't sure what to do with me. My biggest concern is getting something to get the pain under control and learn to live with this day to day. Some days are better than others. I take Lipram and Donnatol and Darvocet for pain. The darvocet doesn't work all the time. What should I do? Should I call ton and beg them to see me? Should I fight for pain manangement. I know some of you have been through this. How did you handle it? It is so frustrating when they don't know what to do with you. I know that if anyone can help me it will be Dr. Hawes and Cotton. How did you guys get in to see them? Did it take you a while or did they see you right away? I know they don't generally do anything with a 3 cm cyst and I am glad for that but what if there is a blockage and they don't check for it because of the gastric bypass. I am so confused! They do a sort of gastric bypass with the whipple so can they do an ERCP after you have a whipple. I don't see why the can't do one on me if they can do that. Any advice?
