Guest guest
All of that sounds wrong to me. Some combination of temporary treatment cessation and/or hydrocortisone cream is the usual solution when a baby's skin is just getting used to helmet contact. That happens very often in the sideburn area. Later, one would be more likely to presume that an adjustment is required, but that is entirely different than the application of moleskin for chafing, say, inside a hiking boot. It's about changing the fit of the helmet as a whole. I advise applying the conventional wisdom: taking the helmet off and calling the *actual* treatment team (orthotist and/or doctor). That way the skin breakdown cannot progress, the healing of which would cause a more significant interruption in the treatment. -- Thad Launderville Montpelier, VT Clara age 2 years, STARband grad On Apr 15, 2010, at 4:29 PM, brownfieldtrio wrote: > Hi *team* - > > My little guy has some signs of a rash and chafing around his right > ear and cheek area...I washed it with warm water and applied some > baby aquaphor...any other tips??
