Guest guest
I had my routine gastro visit yesterday. Why is it they just have to poke around and around!! Now my tummy is killing me today!! Heidi--he stated that with all my background, etc. that he's determined that I have " idiopathic CP. " At least he gave me the Protonix to see if that would help the acid reflux! Sure hope tummy will feel better soon. I guess I shouldn't have had breakfast at all this morning with it already hurting before that!! Oh well, live and learn! Wishing everyone a pain-free day. Heidi--You also asked how he came to the determination that I have CP. Well, I developed a pain in my upper abdomen in 1994, and through process of elimination, test after test, removal of gallbladder, etc., and the pain still remaining, and not being able to make it through a meal w/o running to the bathroom, that's how he came to it. At first they said I had the IBS, etc., but still nothing helped until I got the enzymes, which at least get me through a meal. The pain is daily, and gradually worsening. They saw a shadow in my panc. in 1999 and decided to do a needle biopsy, which threw me into an acute attack right afterwards. I was hospitalized for two weeks and out of work for a total of seven weeks. I looked like I was 9 mos. pregnant! My panc. swelled about 5 times its size from the attack! I lost about 15 lbs. in a little over two weeks! So, that's my story! Suzyq
