While I was under the knife of a brilliant surgeon, an acquaintece

of mine died of liver failure. She had been told 7 years ago that

if she did not stop drinking, she would be dead in 5 years. She

didn't miss a drop or believe the doctor.

I was never told to stop drinking until I was laid out flat in the

hospital with a doosey of an accute attack. My body had produced a

stone which blocked the duct which made a cyst which caused CP.

The pain was horrible as you guys know. I am a good candidate for

aversion therapy and quit drinking. I don't know if I would have

without the pain. I doubt it.

I am glad my body saw fit to slap the crap out of me and wake me

up. I miss my beer. I miss having a normal meal. I am grateful to

be alive.
