Guest guest
Welcome : I just wanted to let you know that I have tried many, many of the " alternative " methods to relieve pain, including massage, acupuncture, antioxidants, biofeedback and guided imagery just to name a few! I have found that they all work to some degree, but nothing, unfortunately, works as well as opiods. I have also tried nerve blocks, of which I just had one this past Tuesday. The first day feels pretty good, not so great the next day and by today, most of the pain seems to have returned. It's a very, very frustrating way to live. I had really pinned ALOT of hope on this nerve block, and am near tears realizing that this too has only provided short term relief. So, I would say that massage certainly didn't hurt me (in fact I LOVE the hot rock massages), and it is very relaxing and good for me to be " good " to myself. But as far as a long term pain relief, afraid not. I look forward to hearing more about your story. Where are you from etc.... Robin
