Guest guest
Suzi, I am glad your experience was a good one there. And I think your reasoning of your family and their wanting you to go there and you actually having done so, will allow them to move on and take the next step in supporting you how you want and need them to. Sort of a mental step by step process for them dealing with your illness. If the doc from Mayo later on wants to do an internal procedure, then perhaps he can knock it out with the powers who be in your insurance company and will be successful, especially if it can lead to a vast improvement. It sounds as though this definitely was a good decision to make in going there for everyone, especially you.
Guest guest
Suzi, I'm glad that your experience at the Arizona Mayo Clinic was so successful. While we know there isn't a miracle " cure " for CP, having your disease validated and reviewed by the " pros " must have made you feel really good. I understand what you were saying about having to prove this to your family....sometimes it's necessary to go to the extreme just to satisfy relatives opinions. At least now you won't have anyone doubting your illness, since you've gotten the official diagnosis from the best doctors in the country. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Guest guest
Suzi, glad your experience at Mayo in sdale was better than mine this past summer at Mayo in Rochester. Like you, I felt a lot of pressure to go to Mayo with some people (not really my doctors or my family) thinking I'd go to Mayo, they'd wave a magic wand, and I'd be all 'fixed'! So, I went, didn't get 'fixed', found that my local doctors are (in my opinion) a million times better than the 'experts' at Mayo. I debated greatly over whether or not to go but felt if I didn't that maybe people would think I just didn't want to get better. So, I've been there, done that, and will NEVER do it again! take care,
