Phyllis,

No matter what the risk it is not good to go down on the pred too fast! It can cause your body to go into its own type of shock. I am sure you will do what is best for . It sounds like you are a great Mom and have 's best interest in mind that is for sure.

I don't blame you for wanting to go to the Mayo for a second opinion. You want them to get under control.

Take care and know I have you both in my thoughts and prayers.
