Guest guest
Satish, The diet that would best suit your mother now would be one that is very low in fat. Being unfamiliar with the normal, basic foods that you eat in India, I'm not sure how to advise you to cut out the fats in her diet. This would mean avoiding any foods cooked in oil, or pastries and cakes made with lots of butter. Here in the statess we have medication that relieves nausea, you should ask her doctor for a prescription for some medication for her to take to stop her nausea. One technique that works is to suck on a sliver of fresh ginger root. You can place the ginger root between the teeth and gums and suck on it - this will relieve nausea symptoms for most people. I cannot advise you on whether or not her gallbladder should be removed. All I can advise is that you follow the directions of the doctors that have attended her, and do as they advise. Many people find that their gallbladder's are the root of their problems, and do have them taken out. If there are stones that are causing many problems, removal would be indicated. There is no guarantee that this would solve her problem, but it would clear up any difficulties that the stones are causing her. Her vomiting is not unusual at all for someone who has pancreatitis. Avoiding the foods with high fat content and getting some prescription medication to counteract this would be recommended. I'm sorry that I can't help you more, but do hope that this advise has been of use to you. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina State Rep. Guest guest
First, I'm a newbie and my 3 1/2 year old son has only been on the diet for 24 days. I miss understood the into part of the diet and thought stage 1 was the intro at first so we just went back this weekend and did the intro. (My husband posted about extreme die off) Going back to the intro helped us. My son had a couple formed poops, but still mainly mushy with intermittent constipation, then after this weekend we've seen two days in a row of formed poops. I still think he has constipation and he was bloated today, but slowly coming out of it. I would say go back to the beginning again and try to be patient. I'm sure we'll see some more mushy poops as well. But having seen 4 formed poops for the first time that I can remember in a span of 24 days is pretty promising. By the way our die-off reaction was terrible and my son is still very worn out so if any one has any advice pleae bring it on. He had bad die- off when I started the diet incorrectly and then a big bang of die off again with the intro. Guest guest
Ok, I'm another rookie in need of support. I really believe in this diet, but it has been a rough day. Caleb (21mo) started the diet on April 1. We are still mainly intro, but have introduced very ripe banana and boiled pork. Today, he was what I would consider back the square one.....all stims and no Caleb. He is getting 2 epsom baths a day - one in the morning and one at night. He is better after them, but hyper. I know activated charcoal has been suggested, but he's so little, I worry about doing too much to his little body. On top of a frustrating day, he had a BM in the tub tonight (sorry for gross). He was grunting a little and then things got interesting. The good news is there was some firmness to it (considering he has been liquid), but it was full of these yellow globs, with redish-brown *legs*. We counted at least 13 of these globs. It really freaked my husband out. Is this the die-off we keep reading about? He also has a pretty nasty diaper rash as of today. Any support/advice at this point would really help! We're trying to hang in there! Liz
