Hi,

My son has ridging at his sutures too. It was fairly prominent, and I

haven't had more than minimal success in resolving it. The one I see

the most is on the right side. I first noticed what was probably the

ridging after 7 months, but before 11 months. I forget the exact age,

but it must have been about your son's age. This was before

started with the helmet, so I am pretty sure his Starband did not cause

the ridging. However, the helmet has not helped the ridging either,

although it helped a lot with the plagio I've been trying all sorts of

alternative therapies with top therapists since he was 11.5 months.

The ridging looks a little better, but it is still there. You may want

to have your son evaluated by a PT for torticollis. Also, you may want

to check that the ridging you see is nothing serious. Good luck!

Best,

Kathy, mom to 24 months

helmet? If so, is this an indication the helmet is too tight?

It seems that those ridges occur when the sutures release and the head starts rounding out. I remember that I first noticed them after started CST (a month before she got her band). That is part of why I believe that CST was helping even before she got the band. So, my conclusion was that it was more related to the process of the head rounding out than the band.

I hope this is true for .  Although unfortunately his ridging

started when his head was still flattening.  's ridges are

confusing to me.  Dr. Eon thought they were caused by the other

therapies, but I know this cannot be completely true since the chiro

noted the one on the right at his first visit.  Also, I think it was

the ridging that I first noticed on 's head before the flat area.

Did the ridges on 's head resolve?  If so, how long did it take?

Thanks,

Kathy
