Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just got a call from Children's and Shaelin has RSV. His bacterial cultures are not yet back but the RSV explains why he has been so sick with this cold. He was put on TOBI and Bactrim which I was told to continue for the time being in addition to the additional Pulmozyme treatment, vest and saline irrigations. Aside from the saline, he doesn't seem to mind the rest. He still has a constant runny nose and productive cough. I have seen some improvement since increasing his Omega 3's. I purchased the book and am using the canola butter, flax waffles and have cut down on dairy which seems to have helped. Is there any way to prevent getting RSV? I finally started Shaelin in Gymnastics and it was not too long after that when he became sick. He is not in daycare or preschool but I feel that he does need exposure to other children but... it is scary. Thanks again Kim for all of your expertise on EFA and DHA. You are such a wealth of knowledge. Jeanne (foster Mom to Shaelin, almost 3 wcf)
