Guest guest Posted November 4, 2002 Report Share Posted November 4, 2002 Hi Everyone, Well I'm at home sick from work today. Finally got the new computer but haven't had time to use it. My daughter is on it constantly!!!!! Well my stress level is at an all time high. I thought once we sold the trailer that things would calm down but I guess God has other plans. So last week the sewer backed up into our house and no one knows why. The city denies it. But it hasn't backed up since the were in. Hummm! Besides they were digging up the road too! So now we are having our basement floor ripped up and our insurance says they won't pay for it even though we have sewer backup coverage, because it came from an outside drain all of six inches from our basement door. It's still part of the foundation but they don't agree. The adjuster hasn't even set foot in our house they just denied it over the phone!!! It's been a week and even though we asked them to come, they still say no. But there is evidence of a drain inside that we haven't found yet because they city put red dye down the toilet and it's now in our basement but not by the outside floor drain. So how did it get there except from an inside drain. But wait that's not all!!! The sewer plugged the perimeter drains and we have to have our yard dug up too!!! So we're going to have to fork out about $5,000 that we don't have!! SO I have been busy. Well I'm trying to look at the bright side like it's not raining yet and if we hadn't vacuumed up 85 gallons of sewer it would be alot worse. Maybe that's why I'm sick. It's either stress or sewer, probably both. Sorry that's it's not good news this time. Well I guess it is because so far nothing has swollen up, hope that lasts.
