Update on Shana

Dear Friends,

After coming through her lung transplant surgery, Shana had to be

rushed back to the operating room because her lungs were swollen and could

not get enough oxygen. The surgen explained that Shana is experiencing

" graft rejection, " and that her chances of survival are 50/50. Earlier this

evening the oxygen levels in her blood were only 86%, and that was with a

resporatorer breathing for her @ 100%. The Doctor explained that if these

numbers kept decreasing, she would die.

As of midnight, the oxygen levels in her blood increased to 100%, I

believe as the direct result of the Lord Jesus interviening on her behalf

because of the many prayers. Currently, the doctors have her medically

paralized so that her body is exerting as little effort as possible and her

chest is still open to allow for the swollen lungs to expaned. While her

numbers have increased since this evening, a doctor stated that the next 24

hours will determine where her body can over come the graft rejection. At

this point, medical science is doing all that it can, so we just have to

just wait, pray, and see the the outcome.

Thnaks,

Kurt (Shana's husband)

PS- due to the level of care Shana is recieving, the Hospital is requesting

that no one call there to check on her status and that people not visit her

at this time. However, please keep praying! Thanks.
