Guest guest
Cecelia, I do have a suggestion for you when you drive or are a passenger after your whipple. Bring a pillow to rest against your stomach. It helps cushion the abdomen, which is very tender at that time. I was given this suggestion after my first abdominal surgery to surgically reconstruct my pancreas divisum and I was very grateful for the advice. All the bouncing around of the car is very hard on the abdomen, so the pillow is a good buffer. I'm not sure how it willl work out while you are driving, but as a passenger, it is a good help.
