Guest guest
Well Kristy is finally at Dallas and recieved the stent and was told that the pancreas was fine this time. So they started testing other things to see what is causing her so much pain . They did a upper gi series and it was also fine . Then they did a gastro emptying test and they said her stomach is emptying slow. And said that that might be causing pressure to build up and making it hurt like it was her pancreas. But now they think it is her endometriosis ( which she does have severe) they think it may have spread to other organs and maybe gotten behind the intestines so they want to do a exploratory surgery to remove what they can of it. And they think that is why she is hurting so bad and not keeping anything down. They also think she is depressed a little bit with all this even tho she says she isn't.And they said that could intensify the pain. So they put her on some meds.( they said it is in the same class as valium and atavan .) I dont know what its called. They are going to do the surgery wednesday and hopefully this will be the cure. I don't know how much more she can take.I asked her dr. how do we differentiate from the pancreatitis or endometriosis if it feels like the same pain? He said he couldn't tell me. I guess we will wait until her enzymes are high. I dont know.It doesn't feel like we made much progress. well if anyone has any input I would love to hear . Thanks deedee
