Hi Chrissy,

Thanks for the input on my wild hypothesis.....and for clarifying

the micturation point. I think that was what i was trying to think of

but that eluded me. I was trying to point out the fact of just

thinking about food or eating gets the juices flowing too. This

was one of my biggest problems the first year or so after my

surgeries as my lab moved right down the hall from the cafeteria.

This was a torture for me...the constant smell of food.

I am waiting anxiously in hearing about your insurance woes too.

I haven't heard anything from my Benefits lady in HR and I figure I

will wait until next week (when the monthly statement should

have been mailed) then I will call her if nothing has been

resolved. I do not think that this has been as I should have

received confirmation by now if it had. My next pain clinic

appointment is in a month, so I will start getting on the phone

soon to make sure that this is covered. I hate to think of it not

being.....after all the money we spend on the monthly premiums

for two plans.

I chuckle at your " threat " to kidnap me to MUSC. gives me

those threats on a daily basis :) only she wants me to see Dr

Lehman. I live in southern Wisconsin so Indianapolis isn't out of

the realm of possibilities, and should be covered by my two

insurances if the problems straighten out. Right now, I am

battling a slight (ok moderate) flare after having a week or so of

relative calm. So I am crabby, irritable and a little disgusted that

there is no rhyme or reason to the ups and downs of this

disease. I just wish there was some doctor that was willing to

work with me to find a way to live with this. But in our area, that is

not to be. As soon as the docs hear " pancreas " they run, run, run

away quickly and never look back. I am curious about the

enzymes that people take and wonder if they could help...... and

the idea of TPN therapy for a year or so is starting to sound good

to me too :(

Well, I hope that all is going well with you today. Please let us

know when things get settled and be sure to tells us where you

will be while recovering and recuperating from your surgery. I

hope that you will be able to stay in touch while in the " slammer " .

Laurie
