Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I'm sorry to hear you have TN too. Yes, I do have burning and pain on the left side of my face when the nerve is flared. Direct sunlight will make it worse during these times. I even had my car windows tinted to keep the sun off my face when I drive. I wish I could tell you the docs have done something for me. Pain meds are the only thing offered for the TN, and they all just shake their heads about the feet burning. How long have you had a hard time hearing ? Is the TN also on the left side? My hearing went all of a sudden - in the amount of time it takes to stand up from sitting. I'm glad to know your neuroligist thinks the TN and RP may be related. Until just recently I only had odd pieces of a puzzle that no one could make a picture of - now at least it has a name. Do temperature changes affect the burning in your hands and feet - or have you noticed anything that triggers it? Thanks for writing - and sure wish I could have said something helpful. p.s. Is your neurologist knowledgeable about RP?
