It's gone. I'm off all pain meds, slowly recovering my normal energy level. " I did the exact thing a couple of months ago. I was taking more and more narcotics and they were working less and less. I was absolutely tired of the judgment of the doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, and even more tired of being tired. It wasn't pleasant, detox that is. It is the second time I have done that as a means of evaluating where I really was. Withdrawals are creepy. The pain in my joints was horrific. I emerged weak, but soon felt stronger than I had in years. I have often said that I was not " addicted " per se, but we are, of course, physically dependent. Well, my experience has been different. It was weeks before my soul was free from the addiction. Keeping you in thought & prayer, Karyn E. , RN, Exec.
