Guest guest
- 27 years ago, I was pregnant for my first child. I got HORRIBLE nausea (hyperemisis gravidarum). The dr. put me on Phenargan. I had horrible " inside " itching, restlessness, etc. Since that time I tell EVERYONE I am allergic to phenargan. I have a dr. friend who told me it is an ingredient in the histamine family as I have to watch what over-the-counter cold medicines I get, as I get those same symptoms. I take visteril (and sometimes zofran in the hospital) and it REALLY helps the nausea. Cecilia Mesa, AZ
Guest guest
Thanks Cecelia, I was told a similar reasoning, that I had developed an allergy to histamines. I can handle one dose by IV, but anything orally and I'm going crazy. I shall try and remember the Visteril for future Thanks,
