Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, Yes, Dr Lehman is in the cards for me. worked on me the past 6 months or so and finally convinced me that he is my best bet. I was going to go there this week actually, but I am having really weird problems with my insurance and didn't want to risk having this denied while I am in the midst of a conflict. It seems that my primary insurance has decided after four years of covering my bills related to the pancreatitis that it is now a " work related illness " and should be covered by worker's comp. Because I never filed for workers comp when I first became ill (why should I have?) I cannot get them to pay for it because to them I am a nobody (and it is too late to file now, even if it was work related). So we are in the midst of trying to resolve the issue that my pancreas divisum and subsequent chronic pancreatitis is not a result of working. And in the meantime, the billing facility is refusing to submit my bills to my secondary insurance which is suppose to cover anything that my primary insurance won't. Something to do with the worker's comp position that the first insurance company is holding steadfast on. So I am getting nasty lettes about delinquent accounts which I refuse to pay. I figure let them take me to court so I can prove to the public just how nasty the medical college really is (they are my employer and my physicians both).I want to see how likely they are to take one of their employees to court rather than shift the money from one account to another (they are self insured). Can insurance get anymore screwed up? Laurie
