I just want to chime in...

I am a pre-op (will be post-op 10/25), and I'm truly happy about

having this surgery. I thank Dr. R for having the insight to ask for

each candidate to have at least 10 contacts. While most of my

contacts were completely problem-free, a couple experienced harder

times, most of which could be explained by previous health

situations, age or something else. They report that even with the

complications, they would have done it again in a heartbeat.

Not just this site, but ANY and ALL of the WLS surgery sites are

simply, in a word, INTOXICATING. I would (and still can) sit at my

computer for hours and hours clicking through hundreds of before and

after photos reading journal entry after entry. All to the praise of

WLS. How could anyone morbidly obese not find these sites like the

worst narcotic or the best infatuation?

And the phone calls! The absolute jubilence in the voices post

surgery. My God it is hard to keep the feet grounded in a pre-op

state! But that's just what I'm trying to do for the next 9 days.

> I am writing to anyone who wants to listen: I just spent about 5

hours with some brand new friends that I feel I've known for years. I

want to thank Zoey for having Jen and Deb and me over to her place in

the camp-grounds, and for taking us out for a very nice dinner, and

especially for letting us pick her brain about the experiences she

went thru with MGB

> Shes this tiny 5' tall woman who looks at least 10 yrs. younger

than she actually is. And has the warmest heart (welcoming total

strangers into her home) of anyone I've ever met.

> Jen and Deb and I are definately gonna meet again, if for nothing

else but to take after pictures.. hahaha

> the 3 stooges after MGB!!

> Sometimes life is just too good...

> Tonight it will be hard to fall asleep with this big smile on my

face.

> God Bless.
