Hello,

Is any one here doing Natural Family planning, the Creighton model,

where one testes there fertility by reading their mucus?

I have for 10 months now and really like it. However for that past

two months I have mucus almost everyday. I am thinking that I must be

eating TOO much YOGURT and feeding my body TOO much good bacteria.

However I do not know if this is possible. I was wondering about how

much yogurt should we eat a day?

Thanks,

Lacy

Lacey,

I do not use NFP...just allow God to do his job...but I do know how to use it.

It at least helps me to give the dr. an idea of when I got pregnant because my

cycles have always been way irregular after I stopped taking the pill years ago.

I've never heard of the mucous problem that you're talking about, but I know

that you should not exceed two cups of yogurt per day. I'm just not sure that

the yogurt/too much good flora is the issue here. I do have some friends in

which the two husbands of the families own an NFP only medical

practice...meaning that they will not prescribe any contraception at all. I'd

be glad to ask them if they've ever heard of this and what it might mean. Let

me know if you'd like me to. Feel free to email me off list about it.
