Update on Darren's Recovery from TP/ICT

Hi

I just wanted to update everyone on Darren's progress from his TP/ICT.

He is doing really well. It looks like he will be discharged from

the hospital on Friday, October 7th. A week earlier than expected.

He is off the diladid and they put him on Oxycotin and Oxycodone for

now. He is off the TPN and is eating solid food. He gets full really

fast. So far he has maintained his weight but time will tell on that

as the TPN is no longer there. This evening everything should be

removed, all IV's the whole nine yards. We received our first

education class on diabetes. Boy, was that overwhelming. I didn't

realize how involved diabetes can get. It will definitely be a

lifestyle change, but so much better than all the pain Darren was in.

Darren and I are so glad that we went through with the surgery. I'm

glad we didn't wait any longer.
