The Need to Educate The ER Staff on Pancreatitis

There is something we can do. You need to talk to your GI Md or whom ever takes

care of your pancreas problems about this. Then before you go to the ER, call

them and tell them you are going and to call in the orders. When I get there,

they are ready for me and they carry out the actions of my Md. Yes sometimes

they do additional testing to rule out other things. I will go to the ER for

other things without calling like blown ligaments, dog bites, etc. If the ER

ever gives you a hastle, just tell them to call your MD because obviously they

are clueless and need guidance from your Md. You will not listen to this when

they are obviously unfamiliar with CP. Since I started doing this, I don't have

the problem anymore. Hope this helps

Love,
