Questions about Pickles and Pickling??

How soon can you eat pickles?... How far along on the Scd?

I made pickles around Sept/Oct, I totally forgot about

them... " overloaded brain " I guess...

I used Elaine's pickle recipe with dill and just a bit of garlic.

I think the reason I forgot about them is that the recipe didn't say

to boil the jars after you seal them. So I didn't boil them...I

assumed they were junk.

Are they still good if you don't boil the jars? I popped the lid

off one jar, it was sealed well, my husband tried one and thought it

tasted fine.
