Guest guest
Hi Chrissy! Yes, it WAS very crowded in Trafalgar Square! I imagine there was hardly anybody in the US though, because most of the people in London were American!! (Slight exaggeration!) On NY's Day we went to watch the parade through London. An American bloke offered us tickets for seats in a covered stand. Some friends of his hadn't turned up and he had three spare tickets. Jim wasn't bothered and wanted to stay in the nearby bookshop anyway (that's my man!!!!!) but I took one of the tickets at a third of the original price! I wouldn't have thought of buying tickets at all actually but I was so glad I did because it was cold and damp and the parade was long! It contained several American marching bands this year and the people in our stand had offspring in different ones which we all cheered lustily as they went past! There was a huge group of cheerleaders from the US as well. As I say, what did you folks do for entertainment at all.......everyone was here this year???!!!! Get better and keep well! With love, Fliss
