Guest guest
Gosh, that is so sad. I know it scares you to pieces when you see them do that. They are so tiny , BUT as you said. He is so chipper. He wont remember this time when he is older either. Those are good things.. So , keep up all the good stuff your doing & he will come around soon. I hold him-you in my special thoughts LOVE & HUGS, grandmoMBEV Ashton has the icky rotavirus My poor baby. Throwing up EVERYTHING he has in his stomach since Saturday night. Luckily, it is all liquid since he is g-tube fed but still... His pediatrician said it is most likely the rotavirus that is going on around here--vomiting then diahrea. Ugh. And we had just gotten him OVER 30 lbs! We also had to cancel his adenoid removal surgery for today. Little stinker proved he could get out of anything! So we have been pumping pedialyte in him and started the immodium. I tried giving him 3 oz of Peptamen Jr on a slow drip but he threw it up 20 minutes later. He has had virtually NO calories in the past 3 days. I don't know how he is still so chipper. Enough whining. I just feel so sorry for the kid. mom to Ashton 3 yrs old in March ------------------------------------------- The opinions and information exchanged on this list should IN NO WAY be construed as medical advice. Guest guest
Hi be glad he got it before surgery.Rebekah got it while in the hospital during her 22 day stay after her hospital nightmare stay. She had a nissen and tube placement and infusaport surgery all in a week on top of morphine shutting down her kidneys. She wound up with a 107% fever and the stupid nurse said and I quote " You don't want to know how high her temp is " DUH I was with her the whole time still breastfeeding(pumping ETC) I used cool water to lower her body temp and flushed cool water thru her tube as she couldn't throw up (hhummm she did though shhh we left the hospital via ambulance transport not supposed to have left if she was throwing up)Lots of gagging. She was miserable I was miserable and we stayed for 8 more days at our local hospital. That was UGLY ..I do feel for your little one and also for You poor Mama.It is so hard to watch our kids be sick and not be able to do anything. Some times the doctors can give something to stop the throwing up but that Nasty virus has to run its course from one end thru the other.BeckyB.-Mama to 8-2w/cf and Nana to
