Guest guest
Thanks For the help. I keep reading more and more past post for help. We are 1 day into the intro diet. So far so good. I hope I'm doing it all right. I was able to find the DCCC. but do not have a yogurt maker yet. My daughter is yet it go to the bathroom today, so I guess that is progress. She is starting to get very tired of these foods already. I'm hoping to get her through another day of intro. I have cooked applesauce and pearsauce for the next step. She doesn't like cooked carrots so I'm not for sure what I will do for veggie in the next step. I think this has been hardest on my older daughter but she is trying to be supportive also. Thanks for letting me ramble, just needed to vent a little!!! Thanks for the lunch box ideas.--- In pecanbread , " robin " wrote: > > Welcome to the group. It can seem very overwhelming at first to move to SCD. What brand is your farmer's cheese? My kids don't go to school, so I don't have that problem of figuring out what works well. Others do deal with that, so they probably have better suggestions than I. I would suggest you get a thermos for chicken soup, and other hot liquidy items. Hamburger patties are always good. More than likely, her school kitchen manager would heat her foods in the kitchen microwave for her if she had some kind of note saying that it is a dietary necessity due to her health condition. She might even do it without just out of the kindness of her heart. You can do boiled eggs, the chicken soup, chicken chunks, cooked veggies(if they'll heat them), nut baked goods when she gets to that point, chunks of cheese. Most of this is after the intro, but others will have more suggestions. > > > > > >
