Hi,

I haven't had any problems with the Barr metho at all. Yes, it was

a wonder drug for me. I looked on the Barr labs web site this AM

and it does not show the 2.5 mgs tablets anymore. I am going to

have my pharmacist call around and see if he can find some 2.5's for

me, and I will worry about switching brands when I see my

rheumatologist the end of Jan. It's possible that Barr has quit

making the 2.5. They do have 5 mgs, so if I took 3 of those that

would work out OK. I hope. I was allergic to the dye in the

snythroid pills so have to only take the white ones.

Sherie, I hope the metho works as well for you as it did for me. I

do get kind of cranky, tired and a little queasy to my stomach on

Wed. (the day after I take the metho), but over time that seems to

be getting a tad better. I take folic acid everyday (1 pill) and 3

mgs. of pred. everyday, lots of water. So far, knock on wood, I have

not had a major flare up of the RP or the vasculitis. I still get

very painful joints though, but at my age I suspect that could be

part of life. Have friends much younger than I am who are in worse

shape with their joints.

It took a while for the metho to start to work on me, about 2-3

months I think. Now, even though I hate to take the stuff, I

wouldn't miss a week because I'd be so afraid that then I would get

the RP flares again. They can be so much worse than the effects of

the metho.

Love, Marilyn
