Hubby becoming hypochondriac

My husband comes up to me and says poke here at this spot near his stomach. He thinks there is a bump there. I think he is being paranoid. But his biggest question--any maybe several of you can shed some light on this is, "How do you know when your body is being attacked for real and need to have it checked out." He's thinking every little bump or something he notices might be an attack of the illness. That's why he's becoming paranoid.

He had 3 doctor's apts. today. The first was to measure his throat diameter. They said that food was sticking in it some, but when he turns his head to the right, it becomes unstuck, but turning to the left helps collect it some. They said it was no big deal at this point. Well, saying that someone is catching a little food in their throat providing discomfort sounds like something should be treated.

He had a hearing test after that and then meet with his ENT doc. By the way he thinks this group is a great support to me, especially you, . I think you've won another fan. Your knowledge about RP has really helped him understand some things better. Thank God for all of you!!!!

I'm going to contact his main doc and also ask the question about how to know when to go to the doctor to have something checked out. I think that's Bill's biggest fear--missing something that could be attacking and then it destroying something else that didn't get detected in time.

Love to all,
