Guest guest
Glad to hear that your doc is concerned about your pain tolerance. When I had out-patient surgery in September my doctor was also concerned alittle because I already take demerol on a daily basis. And yes, when i woke in the recovery room they must have injected 4- 5 doses of (something?) and my pain still was not under control. After 3 hours of steady pain meds, I finally (and the nurses too) knew that I wasn't going to be pain free anytime soon. Of course with all the meds that they dumped into me or (just from the surgery), I did end up with an attack in the recovery room too. When I got home I was sick to my stomach, and then very sore (from the pancreas pain). Just let the nurses know that there is a chance that one of the meds could cause an abrupt attack of pancreatitis. Then they will be well prepared. I hope that everything goes well for you for your procedure. Let me know how it all works out. Take care Kris in TN
