Guest guest
Hello Group, I just visited my PCP today for my 3 month checkup. I am down 46 lbs and feeling wonderful. I mentioned some of the concerns about the MGB that we have heard so much about lately and my doctor told me that he had done a lot of reading about WLS since my surgery and that he feels my chances of living a long, productive, quality life now has increased drastically since my MGB. He is thrilled with my weight loss as well as my overall health. He erased any lingering fear that I had. I really wasn't all that worried anyway, but I liked hearing him saying these things anyway. If I needed to do this again tomorrow, I would do it in a heartbeat. I wake every morning feeling so grateful that I can get up and eat anything I want without the guilt and fear that I will gain weight. I'm always willing to be a contact for anyone. Guest guest
Dear Kay, You just dont know what a blessing your letter was to me. I keep getting very disturbing letters from LT. I dont know why I even open them, crazy I quess. She has such a way with works that she can really put doubts in your head. I did actually go to a WLS website and read many posts from post ops who had the lap RNY. The average time in surgery was 5-7 hours and several posts I read the person had to go into the hospital because the opening from their esophagus to their stomach closed up. I read this several times. I dont mean to ramble to you but your post came at such a good time. I really needed the reassurance. Thanks so much Robin At 04:15 PM 11/2/00 -0500, you wrote: >Hello Group, >I just visited my PCP today for my 3 month checkup. I am down 46 lbs and >feeling wonderful.
