Guest guest
Jenn I am taking in a stool sample to first a pediatrician tomorrow to check for blood and then he will refer me to a GI if there is. You don't happen to live in So California and know of a good GI do you? If not do you highly recommend one? Also from reading what I wrote about what he is eating three weeks in on SCD do you see that we are not balancing things correctly? Thank you for your input and help. Glad your DD is doing better. Kristie Aidan age 3.7 > > My dd had them also at the beginning of the diet. We took her to a ped. GI doc and he dx her with pinworms, yeast, staph & high ammonia due to just eating lots of meat and had a touch of hypoglycemia also. I took a while to straighten her out using enzymes & a more balanced diet. He may even have some occult blood. You shouldn't fool around with this. Make an appt. as soon as possible. He may have to take meds. for a short time til he gets back on track as well. Our GI doc also determined food allergies. Hope he feels better soon, Jenn L > > >
Guest guest
Kristie, Send me a whole list of what he eats during the day offlist if you want to. I missed your post about it. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Buie. He is a ped. GI doc. He knows his autism stuff as well. And, he is trustworthy. He is not close to you though. He is in MA. He is delicate, compassionate and knows how to get around things with insurances etc. Not sure if you can fly with him, or have the $ to do so. You would NOT be disappointed in any way. If doc Buie isn't possible, then you need to find him another one of the best. You say you live in S. CA? Maybe driving to Houston to thoughtful house? Lots of really good GI docs and autism specialists there as well. I would find one and ask the doc tomarrow if you can get a refferal for that particular ped. GI doc because they have experience with autistic children. Is your child autistic?
