question on symptom not often mentioned

I've read a lot of back posts on SOD. My husband doesn't officially

have this, but it is strongly suspected.(going in for ERCP w/ man on

dec 15)

He is 26, healthy, never too much of a drinker--and no drinks in the

last 1 1/2 years. However he has had AP 4 times, always following

large fatty meals.

One symptom that I 've not heard much about is belching. The poor

guy belches(loudly) after even a drink of water. Food, of course,

is continuous belching while, and after eating.

He takes 2 ultrase mr20 capsules with meals, but they do not reduce

this sypmtom. Also protonix in the morning for acid. The gastro dr

just shrugs it off, but I don't see it mentioned often with

pancreatitis information.

Has anyone w/ SOD experienced this? Or anyone, really?

Also, he doesn't seem to have the spasms that so many of you speak

of. He is fine w/ no syptoms until one hits.

Any experience with this out there? Anyone with these types of

symptoms? I'm grasping at straws here...........
