I personally think that one of the reasons " french cut " green beans (or string

beans) were recommended by Elaine is that for that particular cut (that you can

buy frozen), they start with a more slender, less mature bean.... so the inner

seeds will be much smaller and softer. You can also find " petite " whole green

beans in the freezer section..... and cut them up yourself into whatever size

your child will readily eat.

French-style beans are cut into ribbon-thin lengths. To create, trim the

beans, and, using

a sharp knife, cut into thin strands.
