We have an annual Pancreatitis Association International Symposium each year (almost) in Indianapolis, Indiana. The fifth year meeting is this year, either in August or September, and I urge all of you who can, to go! I attended the 4th annual convention and enjoyed it so much. There were many different speakers, doctors and other medical professionals, who gave talks on all subjects relative to CP. The keynote speaker at that Symposium was Dr. Sutherland, the doctor who first performed the total pancreatectomy with auto islet transplant, that so many of our members speak of. It's a two day symposium, and it was wonderful to meet and talk to so many of the members, who prior to that, I'd only met through posts on the message board. Karyn has promised to provide more time at this year's symposium for us to privately socialize. There were so many education activities at the last one that we didn't have any spare time for that, and it's much needed. Indy seems to be a good cental location for most of us, and Karyn puts a lot of personal time and effort into putting the whole thing together, so I hope you'll plan on attending.
