Guest guest
, It's so good to hear from you, girl! You've been too quiet for so long. What is this surgery they're doing on your knee? I had knee surgery when I was 16, a procedure called a tibia tracular transplant. Back in those days, this was a relatively new procedure and recovery time horrendously long. I was in a metal brace from my waist to my ankle for my entire senior year in high school.....totally UNcool!! They put pins in the leg and then a year later had to retrieve them, requiring another surgery and more down time, that time with crutches and a cane. I understand that the same type of procedure can now be done with a recovery time of just a couple months, total. So I hope that whatever they have to do with you will have a minimal post-op down time. I'll be having foot surgery within the next few weeks myself. I have to call the surgeon tomorrow to find out what date they have me scheduled for. Cola. Zoo would be a great cental location for everyone in the state. It's about the same distance for most of us.....three hours away for me, maybe the same for Chrissy, and probably a little less for the rest. I've taken the kids, and then Austin there, several times during the years. I do believe they have facilities for groups, too. Good luck on your surgery! What is your post-op therapy going to consist of, and how long will it be before you're fully recovered? With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth Bluffton, SC South Carolina State Rep.
