Long time no post

Hello,

I know I haven't posted in a long time... I've been busy with my own

group... but after talking with Karyn back and forth for the last few

days, and dealing with having my entire group just vanish (long story

that we are still investigating). I decided that I would ask Karyn

if it would be ok if I posted just a few quick lines to say hello,

and to offer up the fact that I am doing some fundraising myself for

my upcoming TP and ICT surgery at UC Hospital with Dr. Ahmad.

too.)

I have started a Yahoo! groups site for Fundraising for Transplants,

its a site for people that are in the fundraising process to go and

brainstorm, I have a few templates for appeal letters there already

and I have a link to the National Transplant Association Fund on the

front page. They have been a BIG help to me so far, with putting

together packages for the people that are willing to help me

fundraise and teaching them the what to and not to do's of it. They

also sent me a media packet, and just a myriad of " other " ideas for

me to use in the process.

I have a long way to go before I reach my goal, but every little bit

helps... especially the moral support that comes from the groups that

I belong to. And in the last few days, if I didn't have the support

of the friends that I have made through first PAI and now through

CPPS (my group) I don't know what I would have done.

I did learn a very valuable lesson from this mess though... if you

don't have virus protection on your computer AND a firewall... GET

ONE NOW!!! If you are like me and can't afford to buy those

expensive virus protection programs, please, drop me a line and I

will send you the link to the one that the gal that is helping me

with the group disappearance gave me. So far it found 5 trojans on

my system and has blocked numerous pings (that is people trying to

access my computer I guess) from getting in. I still have to find

out how to get rid of 2 of the trojans on my machine, but she really

has helped me immensely by helping me to get rid of the stuff on here

already... and I won't get anything new now. I also had to recover

my hard drive yesterday, because after my group disappeared, I

started having problems with my puter and had to restart it, it

wouldn't go past safe mode and I almost lost everything on it.

So please, PLEASE... check your computers... Check your virus

software, make sure it is up to snuff and if it isn't and you would

like the proggy that I have please let me know. I am happy to share

it.

Thank You Karyn for letting me come by and pop in. I've missed my

PAI buddies!!
