Question About Insurance

I spoke with my insurance co. United Healthcare the other day to ask them for

their fax # while getting ready to send the online form to Dr. R. They told

me that all pre approvals have to come from the doctor over the telephone.

Has anyone else had this happen. I know Dr. R. sends us his letter for us to

take care of with the insurance company, isn't that correct? Any suggestions

for me?

Also, does anyone else out there work for American Airlines and have United

Healthcare? I figured maybe someone on the egroup does since they have quited

a few employees in the RDU (Raleigh-Durham) area.
