Guest guest
Hi All My question for those of you are...once your listed....how do you stand the wait ? I mean I put this off subconciously for as long as I could but now that I am listed I want those dang lungs now ! ! ! They gave me a 6-9mo wait. So thats much better than several years. But the sicker and weaker I get, the more I become impatient. The one thing I am scard of is the pain after surgery.I had a horrid experience 2 summers ago after abdominal surgery at UNC and that has really given me a bad impression. I am now listed at the Mayo Clinic in ville. SO Ive been officially listed (active) since January 14th. I just keep reading every bit of info they sent me. I really really want this. I got home on Thursday after an other 14 day stay in the hospital and honestly...I do not feel all that great. But my local doc said that I am not going to ever feel well. I am started my rehab program at Duke Monday so I am hoping that it at least strengthens me. Who else is listed in ville? My doctor is Dr. Keller.
