Guest guest
I never viewed it as rude but more human nature to be curious. So i used it as a way to educate ppl on plagio when i answered On 10/7/10, spankysmommy <sj11355@...> wrote: > Any suggestions on how to deal with rude ans ignorant people who ask " what's > wrong with your son? Guest guest
I find that kids stare but the parents that dare to look usually give her a smile. I did get some blatant wth is that from family members when I emailed her pic cuz I thought she was so dang cute. Maybe I won't mail those kinds of pics out anymore. I don't know. The only thing in public I have heard so far was from a small boy who said "Look it's a baby in a helmut!" then after thinking about what he just said came a lilting "whyyyyy???" His mommy told him she has an owie. Probably a good enough reason to tell a 4 year old. We were talking and dh said most people probably she thinks she had some sort of brain surgery etc. which I'm guessing is pretty likely true.kim
Guest guest
When my son had the helmet and they would stare, I would just ignore it or smile at them, it makes them more comfortable to ask about it. They are mainly just ignorant and dont know or havent seen it before. I wouldnt waste your time getting mad, what good does it do you? Save your energy for that helmet, its a hard thing to go through. I was very self concious about my son wearing it and didnt go out alot at first but then I realized I was being stupid. would I rather have people stare now or stare his whole life at his head? Guest guest
Let them know there is nothing wrong with him! Except he's getting a head adjustment. People are ignorant but at least they are asking the direct source and educate them so future moms don't feel bad like you.
