Guest guest
Hello All, I come to you with yet another problem. My FNP can't seem to figure out what's wrong with me. She says it has nothing to do with my pancreas. Can anyone here tell me if they have had any of these problems and if they are related to the old pancreas. Seems my thyroid is out of whack. So she put me on thyroid meds. I am still WAY too sleepy, losing alot of hair, NOT losing weight despite walking 20 miles a week and dieting beyond dieting. I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, as soon as I sit down. I have slept all night, then woke up and took a nap 3 hours later for 2 hours. Stayed awake for another hour and slept another hour. Then took another nap after that for about 20 minutes BEFORE going to bed around 9:00 pm. There are times I wake in the morning and am back asleep before 9:00 am. I have almost missed going to pick my son up from school because I can't stay awake in the afternoon. As long as I keep going I am ok. I mean, I can barely keep walking but if I were to sit down, I would fall asleep. She has ruled out narcolepsy. She is determined this is something metabolic. Especially because of no weight loss despite thyroid under control and dieting! My lower back is aching most all the time like I am going to have a pancreatic attack, but I don't seem to have one that needs me to go to the hospital anyway. I am clinching my middle area most of the day because of pain and when I lay down to sleep and release that area, it hurts. Gee, go figure. LOL! I even dream I am hurting. I also awake hurting in the morning, but not to the point that I can't function. I am taking xanax and darvocet at night before bed to help with the pain but nothing during the day if I can get away with it. My knee is killing me too, but I think because of the walking. I WAS this tired and had all these symptoms BEFORE I started walking so much so the walking isn't the problem. My blood sugar is still kinda whacky but she isn't concerned with that at all. I just retested everything ( a & l. thyroid, glucose, chem panel) and all tests came out fine. She now wants me to do some nuclear test for my thyroid anti-bodies to see if that is the problem. I asked her to also test for mono while she was at it. I don't want to skip a thing. But as far as she can tell, I am healthy and she has no explanation why I am so extremely exhausted. I attribute most everything to my pancreas. She said if my thyroid antibodies were off, then I would be having URQ pain. She asked if I was having any. I looked at her as if she was dumb for asking that question and she caught on and said that was a stupid question, but that was a symptom for this anti body thing. So anyway, has anyone else gone through this? Does anyone have any help for me? I will take any suggestions as to what to test for. I have run out of ideas and am literally running out of energy to do anything about it anymore. I find that even cleaning the house lightly makes me exhausted.
