Guest guest
I just wanted to say hello and give an update on what is going on. As most of you know I had that surgery back in Sept. 2000 to remove that choledochal cyst and then the reconstruction of my bilary tract with a roux-en-y. Then 18 months after the surgery I was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis from pancreas divisum possibly releated to the anomaly of the cyst. 9 months ago I was diagnosed as being a diabetic. For the past 22 months I have been living on a very limited diet and have gone from 117lb to 165lb now back down to 153lb. Now after my last visit with the endocronolgist the last 4 blood test have shown a steady elevation in my alkaline phosphates (94-330) in 7 months. I have also had at this time really bad acid indigestion. I started taking zantac and tums it seems to help. Yet, my bilirubin has remained in the correct range and I am not jaundist. My pain level has also steadly increased. I have gone from 50mcg(every 2 days) to 75mcg patch(every 3 days) and I am taking 10/325 percocet. I try to only take 3-4 on the 2.5 days into the patch. My concern is that the new plumbing that they gave me when they had to reconstruct my billary tract is some how becoming obstructed. I really need your prayers that this resolves on its own. I don't want to have have this replaced. I don't think I have another surgery in me. I see my Dr. on the 7th. I am going to ask for a CT because I can not have a MRI because they had to leave a clip in me. Again could really use some of your prays. As a side note. My relationship w/my parents is totaly awsome. I don't want to worry my parents. And my dad is have a cateract remove I hope he will see better after this surgery even though he has the dry form of macular degeneration. Thanks for listening.......I really appreciate this group....... Thanks in advance Walt
