I have a question that pertains to my outpatient surgery on 9-21.

Since I got home from the hospital, I noticed that I had a

collection of fluid in my lower abdomen. The fluid is just above my

hips and across my stomach. If I press on it (which is painful), I

can actually see waves. I don't know if this is something I should

be concerned about. I did call my surgeon's office, and the nurse

said that some swelling was normal but she didn't seem to

knowledgeable about it. I go back to my surgeon's office on

Wednesday for my post op appointment. Has anyone had this happen to

them? or know anything about fluid build up in the stomache?? I am

wondering if it is just from the surgery or if it is from the

pancreatitis attack I had in the recovery room. Any comments??
