Guest guest
Hello everyone, I've been thinking and researching this diet for several months now and I think I'm going to try it for my Autistic son. We are already on a GFCF, Feingold, and Peanut free diet. It has helped him a lot but we are still having trouble with bowels. He is also taking several supplements. We eat rice everyday in our household and I don't think this is good for my son anymore. I have already cut back on the rice, pancakes, waffles, and stuff like that. I've also been trying to get the corn out of his diet too just to see what happens. My husband is not very fond of me looking into this diet because of how restrictive it is..I need help. I need good recipes so my son will still have food to eat. He doesn't like vegetables or fresh fruits. I've been trying to hide broccoli in his meat patties. I also make homeade jello out of 100% fruit juice and pureed blueberries without any added sugar. That's all I can get into him. I'm scared of him not eating enough and also scared of the yucky poop that is supposed to follow with the die off. Does this happen to everyone? What tests could we have done to see if my son does have a major GI problem? Thanks..sorry for so long..I just need to talk and need some help!
