Guest guest
Heidi, Congratulations on receiving the date of a hearing! That in it's self, must be a relief. I have complete faith that you will be approved. Continue to stay positive! Simply, intend for it to be. My attorney told me the weeks preceding the hearing / review, would also be important. I made an appointment with every doctor and specialist I had on my team. I discussed my concerns of the long term effects of pancreatitis on my health, wellbeing, and work ability. I asked them specifically if they would allow me to work. No one would authorize that, knowing I was on narcotics; the safety issues are simply too great. They discussed the validity of my concerns and followed up with documentation in my chart. I wish we could get chronic pancreatitis simply on the disability list of diagnoses. That doesn't guarantee anything, but it certainly makes it easier. Currently, or previously, most persons obtained their disability on secondary diagnoses, since chronic pancreatitis wasn't an option. For instance, I received disability for chronic pain and severe depression, two approved diagnoses.
