Ruby, Thanks for this information. I would assume, or hope, anyway, that submission of a formal application to SSDI for disability benefits would suffice as documentation to " freeze " one's benefits. My first application was submitted in June 2003, at which time I still had both the consecutive time and credits to qualify. It's funny that no one tells you about this when you apply, especially when the application, denial and appeal process can cover a matter of months to years, as it has in my case. I guess I need to call my attorney tomorrow to discuss this further. Thanks for the heads up. BTW, it's nice to hear from you! How are you doing these days, and are you working again?
