MSG has been banned in restaurants and not allowed to be sold in

supermarkets. A friend of mine used to use it in her cooking when

making her hungarian dishes. I asked her one day where she got it

because it wasn't allowed to be sold, but apparently the little

ethnic delicatessans are allowed to sell it.

They found that it was the ingredient in chinese foods that cause

one to get full on chinese food quickly and then get hungry again

soon afterwards. I think it acts like a strong dose of caffeine in

the body. It is put in foods to enhance the flavours.

When I moved to the USA I was surprised to see restaurants using it.

I thought it would have been banned over here also.
