Guest guest
Dear Chrissy, Heidi, anybody: I've just checked the latest messages and didn't see anything about the horrible rainstorms since someone mentioned hoping to avoid " Frances. " In today's " The Maui News " there was an article about Tropical Storm Gaston hitting McClellanville. Since I just sent off a postcard to you, Chrissy, I remembered that city. I cut out the article to send you, unless you'd rather not be reminded? It also mentions Mount Pleasant. Don't we have a member there, too? So for all of you in that area, please accept my sympathy for what you are enduring, on top of pancreatitis. I've had my home and car totalled by a tropical storm (20 years ago), so I know how devastating it can be. Here's hoping you've come through safely. Back to our raison d'etre (having CP): I want to research the topic of damage to the tail of the pancreas in an acute attack. It's my understanding that there are ducts in the head and the main pancreatic duct running through the entire pancreas and that the greatest amount of islet cells are in the tail. This is mostly from reading the posts. Can anyone direct me to any particular research? Any ideas where to start? With warm aloha from in Hawaii
