Guest guest
The website of the Stanford Celiac Support Group is: http://celiacsupport.stanford.edu. The webmaster is Rohlfs. Note there is no www. in front of it. Guest guest
Alice, I work at Levi's plaza...can you pass along your list of GF items at Fog City? That would be a HUGE help considering me and my coworkers always go to lunch and I am so hesistant about ordering anything but salad. I often buy plain roasted chicken at an excellent neighborhood Italian deli, to take home. The deli makes all its cooked food from scratch, in-house, and its meat products are top quality. I always check carefully to be sure no gluten items are nearby. I buy a whole chicken just to make sure a glutened knife won't cut halve the chicken. Great, huh? This week the owner was behind the counter, and I mentioned I was in a great hurry and hungry and needed to quickly buy something that was GF. She listed some salads and said "Everything else contains gluten." "You mean everything except for the roast chicken?" "Honey, that roast chicken isn't gluten-free! You can't eat that!" I think the chicken's dark brown breast skin comes from a sprinkling of flour ----. Sigh. Harper
